# Request human tool

> Ask for human intervention to speak or respond to the user.

This tool enables your agent to request human intervention for speech input, feedback, or a verbal response. Use it when human participation or voice interaction is needed to continue a conversation or task.

## Overview

The request human tool pauses agent execution and prompts a human user to provide spoken or text input. The agent receives the human's response and continues processing.

## When to use

* The agent needs clarification or additional context from a human
* A decision requires human judgment
* The task involves voice interaction or verbal confirmation
* Escalation to a human operator is necessary

## Returns

The human's spoken response or text input.
